More Chicago
Hey there. We're still in Chicago, we've been here since Friday night. So far this place has been awesome. Yesterday we met back up with Sam and his wife, hung out with them for a while at this restaurant literally right across the street from Wrigley Field where the Cubs play. We were going to go in and watch but we waited too long and all the scalpers had already left, so we watched from the outside through the gate. It was still pretty sweet. Later on we went to a festival on one of the main streets where they had just like, tons of venders and local bands playing. So we just got a show for tonight while we're in town at Reggies rock club. Wait.... And again tomorrow I guess, ha nevermind, I guess just tomorrow. So anyway, until tomorrow. Not sure what we'll do today, but we had some Chicago style pizza and it was delicious. Love ya. -Cody

Hey yo
Chicago. This place is MASSIVE. So far its been a blast. I love these big cities. Last night we played 2 shows, one at a grill type place and the second at a restaurant. Both went pretty well. The first was a little weird because it was at 6 and not a lot of people were there. But we met some cool people who came over to the second one. The second show was packed but it took a lot to get set up. They didn't have a P.A. System so that means that we have to unpack the trailer completely, which isn't horrible, but busy Chicago streets on top of rain made it a little difficult. So once again we met more cool people. One guy I got talking to does security for all the major festivals in the areas, and so I got him hooked up with a CD and business card. He says he knows a lot of company's and radio people so he's gonna try and hook em up with the Evolucid CD. Nice huh. He also told me if we wanted to come down to the festival they're having today he'd get us passes. Its a big festival with tons of local bands from all over. So we might stop by there. We're at Chris's friend Alex's house right now, well, his dads house. They're pretty cool people. Anyway, we met a guy who loved talking and hanging out with us last night, Sam is his name. He was trying to get us a show tonight but it wasn't looking like it was gonna happen. So on the other hand, he was gonna try and hook us up with some Cubs tickets for tomorrows game. I've never been to a pro baseball game, so i'm pretty excited and hopeful that we can go. On top of that, Sam's wife runs a company here doing a boat tour. Something Cruise is all I remember the name is. Anyway, I guess they load up a bunch of people and go out on the lake, Lake Michigan, for an hour or 2.
So he's got us hooked up to go for free tonight at 6. Should be sweet. I'll be sure and let ya know how it was. I'm wiping my computer again right now, thanks for the disk Jess, and Mom. So until tomorrow. Love you all. - Dody

Chicago!
So last night was pretty wild. The show was pretty good and we sold some merch. Overall not a bad night. So the wild thing about it is that Josh especially, and Jamie are into philosophy big time. Josh was explaining it all to me, about how everything happens for a reason, and if you pay attention to the signs, it all seems to fit together in one way or another. It's way too much to type, but we all witnessed a pretty bold preview, or example of it. The more they explain it to me, the more it makes sense. It's actually kinda mind blowing when its all added up. But anyway, we're just getting into Chicago right now, we have 2 shows here tonight. One at a restaurant at 6, and a club at 11. Should be a good night. Oh, its pretty humid here too. But not too hot. We'll be here for a couple days. We've seen some pretty sweet shtuff on the drives. Pretty cool. I might see if Chris will show me some guitar when we get time. He's incredible at playing. Anyway, love you all. Until tomorrow. Same bat time, same bat channel. -Dody

So....
The show was cancelled tonight because the owner is retarded and didn't answer his phone all day. We showed up to play and had to wait for him to get there. When he finally did, he was all sorts of sketchy about it. Apparently the money he promised last night wasn't coming through cause his bar sucks and nobody was there, and weren't going to show up. So now we're heading back to the house to do more promoting for this weekend. We're taking off for Green Bay in the morning. So until then, goodnight. Love you. -Dody

So here is my first attempt at texting to my blog. We're in Wausau,Wisconsin still. We played a show Saturday night here and ended up meeting this really cool lady who has let us stay at her house. We didn't have anything going on Sunday, so we had a bbq and relaxed a little bit. Our next show wasn't until Thursday in Green Bay, so while we were kicking back, Kelly, the lady we're staying with, said she'd call the owner of one of the bars in town. He said it was cool we played there Monday night for tips, whoever was there if they wanted to tip us or buy some merch or whatever that would be cool. So we played there last night and it was awesome. The bar was packed and they made a lot of money, so they started taking a percentage from drinks sold and putting them in the tip jar. Needless to say we made a lot of money and I sold about 90 bucks in CD's and shirts. So it was a pretty sweet night. Before the show was over, the owner asked if we would come back tonight and do it again if we weren't busy. So we stayed another night and we're going to play again tonight. Hopefully it will be just as good. So I'll try and check to see if this text thing works, and if it does I'll try and update ya'll every day or something. Love Ya. -Cody

Tour with Evolucid

So the band consists of Joshua (Singer/Guitar) Jamie (Singer/Bass) (Jamie and Josh are brothers) Chris (lead guitar) and Eric on drums. So far we've been to Cheyenne, Wyoming, North Platte Nebraska and now we're in Lincoln Nebraska at the moment. We have stayed in the bus a couple nights, which isn't too bad. But the further east we go it seems to get alot more humid at hot, so waking up in the bus isn't always too "cool?" ha. They don't have a show until Tuesday, which is in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Tuesday is also Jamie's birthday, so I think we're going to a movie or something. In North Platte we stayed with Jamie and Josh's relatives. Like their cousins or something. But they hooked us up with tons of awesome food. And when we left they sent us with so much food it filled the huge cooler we got and we had to fill another little ice chest. They were really cool people. Made us feel at home. Something crazy for the family. When I found out that we were coming to Lincoln, Nebraska I though of Nina's Aunt and Uncle who came to her graduation, and our wedding. I talked to them quite a bit while they were in Idaho, and they really like to go out to live music in town and whatnot. So I found a way to get a hold of them (Facebook) and told them we were coming to Lincoln. They wrote me back a while ago and said they would try and make it out. So last night was the show and they did! It was crazy. But it's so nice to see them. We ended up talking and they had not heard anything about me and Nina. They saw that her Facebook said single, and tried to ask Scott (Uncle Terry's brother/Nina's Dad) what was going on. Apparently they don't talk that often. Scott and LeeAnn have kinda blocked themselves from this side of the family. They told me that they have tried calling Scott multiple times, and no matter how many messages they leave, he wont call or email back. Crazy, huh? Kinda explains some things in my mind. So anyway, after the show we weren't sure what we were doing, maybe sleeping in the bus in Lincoln, or driving to Omaha and sleeping. Terry said there was no way we could do either, so he hopped on the bus with us and we came to his house. (which is where we are now) I feel like these guys are more family than anybody on Nina's side. It's been really cool spending some time with them. But anyway, gonna shower now. It's been a blast out here, and definitely a great experience. Even though it hasn't even been a week I feel like we've been across the country. It's cool. I have my phone on me at all times, it's not always charged but I usually have battery life. So feel free to text me or call me. Love you. -Cody
